Advisory for International Driving License Permit (IDP) Renewal

With effect from 15th February 2021, the Embassy will start accepting applications from Indian nationals for re-issue of IDP. Applicants must visit the Consular Wing of the Embassy of India, Cairo and fill the Miscellaneous Consular Service form to avail this service. The applicant will be charged a fee of LE205.00 (Egyptian Pounds Two Hundred and Five only) towards accepting the application of re-issue of the International Driving Permit.

2. After receiving the receipt, the applicant must apply for fresh issue of IDP through the portal www.parivahan.gov.in and upload the documents, including the receipt issued by the Embassy as mandated under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. On receipt of application through the portal, the licensing authority, on verification of the document, shall issue the IDP and shall courier it directly to the applicant’s address.
