Advisory regarding Consular Services

Further to our advisory dated March 23, 2020 it has been brought to our notice that there are still a number of Indian nationals, seeking consular services. In view of this, and in line with the relevant Advisories issued by the authorities in India and Egypt, Embassy of India in Cairo is taking the following additional measures to maintain ‘social distancing’ to avoid the spread of COVID-19:

(I) The Embassy of India, Cairo will, till further notice, only process those passport applications of applicants, whose passports have either expired or will be expiring by April 30,2020; and

(II) The Embassy of India, Cairo is also temporarily suspending normal attestation services. If someone has an emergency attestation requirement, he/she could scan and send the documents, explaining the emergency through email on cons.cairo@mea.gov.in. Embassy will provide guidance in response to the emails.

All Indian nationals are kindly requested to abide by the above advisory with immediate effect.
