COVID-19: Directives from Ministry of Health and Population, Arab Republic of Egypt (ARE)

The Egyptian Ministry of Health is responsible for implementing detection measures at all entry points to the ARE, and therefore, all travelers, without exception, are subject to a screening test;

  • All travelers must complete a form to indicate their movements during the last 14 days preceding their arrival in Egypt (including all the airports in which they would have passed); sign a form stating that in case of symptoms during the test or during their stay in Egypt, they must submit to sanitary isolation which consists of quarantine in one of the designated sanitary centers;

  • It is the responsibility of travelers coming from one of the countries where the virus has already appeared, to comply - even without presenting symptoms - with the directives in force by specifying the temperature of their body at precise times so that it is possible to monitor them during their stay in Egypt;

  • These measures can be strengthened or reduced depending on the decisions that will be taken for this purpose by the competent Supreme Commission according to the evolution of the pandemic.
