Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

The 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated on 2 October 2024. Ambassador Ajit Gupte paid floral tribute at the bust of Mahatma Gandhi at Al-Horreya Park, Zamalek, Cairo. On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture organized 'Caricature Exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi’ in collaboration with the Fayoum Caricature Museum and the Egypt Cartoon Platform to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 1 October 2024 at its premises. This caricature exhibition included 40 caricatures of Gandhiji drawn by artists from 12 countries including India, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Romania, Indonesia, Colombia, Cyprus, Poland, Cuba, Spain, Bosnia, Herzegovina and Egypt.
