Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC) organizes roundtable discussions and seminars regularly, involving youth, academia, culture lovers and the civil society in stimulating discussions on issues of mutual interest and sharing of experiences. Some recent events are listed below:

MACIC organized a seminar on “Re- reading Maulana Azad through His Writings” to mark the 131st Birth Anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Dr. Rania Fawzi, Head of Dept. of Oriental Languages, ASU, Dr. Mohamed Uzeir, Lecturer in Urdu, ASU, Prof. Galal El Hefnawy, Head of the Dept. of Oriental Languages, Cairo University and Dr. Abdul Majeed, Lecturer in Urdu at MACIC were the speakers.

A seminar on “Arts in India and Egypt” was organised in Cooperation with Helwan University at Faculty of Arts Education on 17/10/19. Dr. Amal Mostafa, Head of the Dept. of Criticism and Dr. Emad Abdel Naby, Professor of Criticism, Helwan University were the key speakers.

A Symposium on “Egypt-India Cultural Relations: was organized by Supreme Council of Culture (of Egypt) with Embassy of India on 25 August 2021. Ambassador and prominent Egyptian Professors/Scholars highlighted deeply entrenched cultural links between India and Egypt. Dr. Mohammed Hegazy, former Amb. Of Egypt to India and other speaker highlighted commonalities between both civilization and praised India for being an example of “Unity in Diversity” and tolerance.
